Puzzle master Munish, Smiling Varun, and Luv Seeking Friends
APAAR has experienced the hardest staffing crunch in
its eleven years in the second half of April. I feel like I am hurtling
headless through these days. Yesterday we had to ask one client to not come as
we are down to one staff and his obsessions need one dedicated staff member.
Felt sad. His father is an aging single parent.
Special educator Priya and I have been holding fort.
APAAR is grateful to Priya.
What prevents us from just shutting APAAR. We have had
enough reasons to. Corporate fascism evicting us and damaging our property.
Playground challenges as the park maintaining residents of Urban Estate
phase 1 forbid cricket in Park number 7. No volunteers found in this difficult
city except Mr Gurteg Singh who arrives well before time to the ground.
Manish chooses the toughest puzzle to piece
together and we are so proud he does it with alacrity. All those fish
and other sea animals in a blue ocean. Varun smiles and makes conversation
with a peer, asking his name. Luv embraces Gurteg many times and leads him from
the park to APAAR by hand. Ronit pastes the lower fold of the paper bags just
right after many months ' break from that task.

ਅਪਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 2025 ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਅੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਿਆਰਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਔਖੀ ਸਟਾਫ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਭੱਜ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ। ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਕਲਾਇੰਟ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਮਨਾਂਹ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਸਿਰਫ ਇੱਕ ਸਟਾਫ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਕਲਾਇੰਟ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਸਟਾਫ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ। ਬੜਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਬੁਢਾਪੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਪੈਰੈਂਟ/ਮਾਪਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਿੱਖਿਅਕ ਪ੍ਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅਪਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਿਆ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਧੰਨਵਾਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਖੀਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਪਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਭਲਾ ਕੀ ਰੋਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਸਦੇ ਕਾਫੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਨ। ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਟ ਫਾਸ਼ੀਵਾਦ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬੇਦਖਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ। ਖੇਡ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਆਈਆਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਬਨ ਐਸਟੇਟ ਫੇਜ਼ 1 ਦੇ ਵਸਨੀਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਕ ਨੰਬਰ 7 ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਖੇਡਣ ਦੀ ਮਨਾਹੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇ, ਸਿਵਾਏ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਗੁਰਤੇਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ, ਜੋ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਔਖੀ ਪਜ਼ਲ ਨੂੰ ਜੋੜਨ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ..ਨੀਲੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ। ਵਰੁਨ ਮੁਸਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਥੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈ। ਲਵ ਗੁਰਤੇਗ ਨੂੰ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਗਲੇ ਲਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਕ ਤੋਂ ਅਪਾਰ ਤੱਕ ਹੱਥ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੋਨਿਤ ਕਈ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੁਣ ਕਾਗਜ਼ ਦੇ ਥੈਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੇਠਲੀ ਤਹਿ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਸਹੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਚਿਪਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
